Equal opportunity activities for young girls and boys in 2024

The NCCR MARVEL supports various activities for young girls and boys organized by EPFL's Science Outreach Department at EPFL and all around Switzerland.

In particular:

• The science workshop Diamants, alu, caoutchouc, ils sont fous ces matériaux for girls 7-10 years old will take place on 28 February, 6 and 13 March 2024 (three Wednesday afternoons, 14:00 - 16:00). Registrations are opening on 20 November 2023.
  
• The Coding club des filles offers coding workshops for girls 11 to 15 years old organized all around Switzerland, in French, German and Italian. These workshops are highly successful and new editions are regularly proposed. Registrations for cantons Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Jura, Neuchâtel, Valais and Vaud will open on 20 December 2023.
• The science summer Camp de Chimie for girls and boys 11-13 years old will take place from 5 to 9 August 2024, every day from 9:00 until 16:00. Registrations open in March 2024.
• The science summer camp Matériaux super géniaux for girls 11-13 years old will take place from 12 to 16 August 2024, every day from 9:00 until 16:00. Registrations open in March 2024.
  

The NCCR MARVEL also supports the workshops Maths en jeu (one hour, after school on Wednesday or Thursday). They propose to discover mathematics from another angle, in the form of games, puzzles and fun surveys. Some are for girls and boys and some for girls only (8 to 15 years old) and they exist in four levels.
