Welcome to the 31st MARVEL Junior Seminar on Friday February 21, 2020, 12:15 pm, EPFL, room MED 0 1418. Benjamin Helfrecht (COSMO, EPFL) and Yawei Li (CSEA, EPFL) will present their research. The seminar will be chaired by Kristians Cernevics.

On Feb 13, 2020, the Digital Humanities Institute in collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Office  at EPFL will host a 3-hour practical, agile and interactive workshop "AI & Gender: A Human Rights Toolbox" for students on the EPFL Campus.

A PhD or post-doc?  You are probably considering  a possible career in industry but don't know much about research in industry. So, on February 6, the NCCR MARVEL will host a panel discussion to help you learn more. Participation is free of charge, but, for organizational purposes and because of limited space, we ask that you register by Monday, 3 February, 2020 using this form.

Welcome to the 29th MARVEL Junior Seminar on Friday December 6, 2019, 12:15 pm, EPFL, room MED 0 1418. Kristians Cernevics (C3MP, EPFL) and Olga Syzgantseva (LSMO, EPFL) will present their research. The seminar will be chaired by Markus Stricker.

The 19th NCCR MARVEL Distinguished Lecture – also an EPFL campus lecture – will be given by Prof. Giulia Galli, University of Chicago, with whom we will be "Marveling at materials through in-silico lenses".

Welcome to the 28th MARVEL Junior Seminar on Friday November 8, 2019, 12:15 pm, EPFL, room MED 0 1418. Markus Stricker (LAMMM, EPFL) and Stefano Falletta (CSEA, EPFL) will present their research. The seminar will be chaired by Giuliana Materzanini.

MARVEL will be present at the thematic day organized by EPFL at the Lycée Cantonal of Porrentruy on October 30, 2019. Entitled "Digital in our daily lives, today and tomorrow" this day on the theme of digital education is offered by the EPFL Education Promotion Service to the students and teachers of this high school.

Nicola Spaldin, ETH Zurich professor, NCCR MARVEL project leader and recent winner of the 2019 Marcel Benoist prize—the "Swiss Nobel Prize"—for her groundbreaking research on multiferroics will give a seminar on  "Hidden, Entangled and Resonating Orders" in Room CE15 at EPFL on Friday, 18 October.
