Since February 2023, Michael Herbst is a tenure-track assistant professor at EPFL with a joint appointment in the Maths and Materials Science institutes and is running the Mathematics for Materials Modelling research group. He has joined MARVEL at the beginning of year 10, in May 2023, where he is a group leader in the Pillar 3, on Digital Infrastructure of Open Simulations and Data. You can discover his portrait here.
