The #NCCRWomen campaign is a national initiative of the Swiss academic world to open up the professional horizons of young girls towards careers in research and to present them with role models in the form of short videos.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of women obtaining the right to vote in Switzerland, the 22 active NCCRs have joined forces in a campaign showing how in these 50 years women have come to occupy a central place in research in fields as varied as quantum physics, linguistics, neuroscience, architecture, chemistry, robotics or artificial intelligence. From 8 March to 31 October, these female researchers are showing you who they are, what they do and why they are doing it. Discover their portraits in short one-minute videos that can be viewed on YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. The videos are listed by language or research area and are subtitled in French, German and English.
In an offer for classes at the high school level (secondary II), we invite teachers to take up these portraits and discuss them in the class with their students. During the 2021-2022 school year, our NCCRs are offering the possibility of inviting one of our researchers into the classroom to deepen these exchanges. Registration forms in French and in German are available.
