Equal opportunity activities for young girls and boys in fall 2023

The NCCR MARVEL supports various activities for young girls and boys organized by EPFL's Science Outreach Department at EPFL and all around Switzerland.

In particular:

• The science workshop Diamants, alu, caoutchouc, ils sont fous ces matériaux for girls 7-10 years old will take place on 1, 8 et 15 November 2023 (three Wednesday afternoons, 14:00 - 16:00). Registrations are opening on 15 May at 10:00 (under the heading "Septembre à décembre 2023 / Vaud").
  
• The workshops Maths en jeu last one hour and take place after school on Wednesday or Thursday. They propose to discover mathematics from another angle, in the form of games, puzzles and fun surveys. Some are for girls and boys and some for girls only (8 to 15 years old) and they exist in four levels. Registrations are opening on 1st May at 13:00 (under the heading "Septembre à décembre 2023 / Vaud").
  
• The Coding club des filles offers coding workshops for girls 11 to 15 years old organized all around Switzerland, in French, German and Italian. These workshops are highly successful and new editions are regularly proposed. Information and links to registration are available here. 
  

The NCCR MARVEL also supports two science summer camps, the Camp de Chimie for girls and boys 11-13 years old and the camp Matériaux super géniaux for girls 11-13 years old. Both are taking place each year during one week in August.
