With this new MARVEL week in the #NCCRWomen campaign, meet Giovanna Lani, Marija Stojkovic and Ksenia Briling, and discover their portraits on Twitter and Instagram

"While I was writing up my applications to grad school, I realized that I really liked the idea of starting from something existing, an existing piece of knowledge and then expanding on it in some way."

Meet Dr. Giovanna Lani, senior researcher in the Laboratory of Theory and Simulation of Materials (THEOS) at EPFL, and read her interview here.

"I built my first lab when I was nine. This indeed happened; however, I think it was just a game. I had one magnet, a couple of iron bolts on which I could see magnetic force in action and one test tube."

Meet Marija Stojkovic, PhD student funded by the EPFL Excellence in Africa initiative in the Laboratory of Theory and Simulation of Materials (THEOS) at EPFL, and read her interview here.

"It's good that now we have more role models, like female PIs, that can show little girls that there is a path in science for us."

Meet Ksenia Briling, PhD student funded by the PushQChem ERC Consolidator grant, in the Laboratory for Computational Molecular Design (LCMD) at EPFL, and read her interview here.
