Andrius Merkys, a MARVEL PhD student at EPFL, has won the first prize of the ACCES (Application-Centered Computational Engineering Science) visualization contest, in the image section.

This contest was open to students from the school of engineeging and the school of architecture, civil and environmental engineering at EPFL and was sponsored by MARVEL. More than 60 students participated. All the works are exposed from May 29 to June 5, 2015 in the hall of CO building, EPFL, level 0. They can also be viewed on the ACCES website.

This contest offers also the opportunity to present the new EPFL financed ACCES CoViz collaborative visualization facility available to all EPFL MARVEL members, as well as other ACCES members. This facility is intended to facilitate collaborative examination of computational engineering datasets, essential as a research, teaching and outreach tool for scientific discovery and communication. It is also useful for distant education. It is in room MXC320. Additional details can be found on the ACCES website.
