The sixth MARVEL Junior Retreat will take place from dinnertime September 10 until lunch on September 13, 2024. It will give PhD students and Postdocs involved in MARVEL groups the opportunity to interact, share their experiences, learn about each other’s research, start new collaborations and discuss various aspects that are relevant for young researchers. The focuses of this year’s MARVEL Junior Retreat are “entrepreneurship, technology transfer, intellectual property rights”.
This year's retreat will take place in St. Moritz, a charming town situated in the Grisons, famous for its scenic landscapes. Participants will be accommodated in the Berghotel Randolins.
This year's retreat will focus on entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and intellectual property rights: not only amongst different research directions but also between industry and academia. Junior scientists will get the chance to present their work, exchange ideas and enhance their soft skills. Aside from poster sessions and discussions we will have time to discover the beautiful landscapes around St. Moritz and reset in the hotel spa.
The retreat is a unique chance for junior scientists under the umbrella of MARVEL to get to know each other, to learn – in a relaxed, informal atmosphere – and to foster collaborations across interdisciplinary groups. All this is set within the beautiful scenery of the Swiss Alps.
