Advanced Quantum ESPRESSO school: Hubbard and Koopmans functionals from linear response

This is the second school on the topic after a very successful and exciting first edition held (virtually) in 2022 and it benefits from the support of the NCCR MARVEL.

MARVEL Junior Seminar — June 2023

The MARVEL Junior Seminars aim to intensify interactions between the MARVEL Junior scientists belonging to different research groups. We are pleased to propose the 52nd MARVEL Junior Seminar: Giovanni Piccioli (Statistical Physics and Computational Lab, EPFL) and Anooja Jayaraj (nanotech@surfaces lab, Empa) will present their research. The seminar will be chaired by Alessandro Carbone (THEOS, EPFL).

2023 Summer camp for high-school students
Jun 26, 2023, 9:00 until Jun 30, 2023, 16:00, EPFL, LausanneThe 1-week camp entitled Des atomes aux ordinateurs, à la découverte de la programmation scientifique is open to teenagers in the last two years of high-school, with no high-level in maths or physics prerequisite. A prior knowledge of the basics of programming is recommended. It is possible to acquire these notions independently if necessary (within 3-4 hours). Half of the seats are reserved for young women.
