Within its new research division Scientific Computing, Theory and Data, the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is establishing a number of laboratories dedicated to the development and application of the computational and data capabilities that can support and enhance the activities of PSI. The Laboratory for Materials Simulations, directed by Professor Nicola Marzari, and in close collaboration with MARVEL, will be hosting three groups aimed at developing, integrating and disseminating in the PSI community and the scientific community at large the computational capabilities required to understand, predict, and characterize materials studied at PSI with photons, neutrons, muons and electrons.
PSI is looking for a group leader for the group on "Materials Software and Data".
The Materials Software and Data group will be initially composed of 1 group leader (tenure-track, leading to a permanent position), 2 scientists (also tenure-track, leading to a permanent position), and 3 postdocs.
The search is currently open for the group leader, with a deadline of December 31, 2021.
Applications will need to include a CV, application letter, research plans, publication list, and contact information for 3 references.
