AiiDA tutorial and coding days

A tutorial on AiiDA will be held on November 2 and 3, 2015 at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland); this tutorial will be followed, from November 4 to 6, by three days on coding for interested pluging developers. 

The tutorial is targeted at students, postdocs and researchers interested in learning the AiiDA platform.

Programme

Monday November 2 — Users’ tutorial

Introduction to the code, job submission, data retrieval, setup of new computers & codes and query of results.

Tuesday November 3 — Developers' tutorial

Example of plugins’ development in AiiDA and details on the platform internals.

Wednesday November 4 to Friday November 6 — "Coding days"

People interested in the development of new plugins for AiiDA (or already in the process of developing one) are welcome to participate. The AiiDA team will be available for the whole period in order to design new plugin interfaces and provide support during the development stage.

Assumed knowledges

Basic knowledge of linux and familiarity with the use of a job scheduler.

User’s tutorial — basic knowledge of Python (basic scripting
capabilities are sufficient).

Coding days — only knowledge of Python is required.

Venue and registration

The tutorial is open and free and first priority is given to participants in the MARVEL and MaX efforts.
